The Binu and Aleysa George Memorial Scholarship is a service based scholarship awarded to a CSU-Pueblo bound or existing CSU-Pueblo student who meets the eligibility requirements. Each year the scholarship recipient is chosen by foundation board members who review applications submitted through the CSU-Pueblo online scholarship application.

The award spans a full school year (two semesters). Throughout the year, the award recipient must continue to be involved in some form of community service or volunteer activity of the student's choice, maintain a GPA above 3.2 as a full time student, and remain in good standing with the university.

Board members focus on individuals who have demonstrated a history of community service oriented volunteer activity. No specific volunteer activity is held in higher regard than any other. The goal is to reward selfless, generous individuals who dedicate their time to helping others.
